Artificial Beauty

Question

         Is artificial beauty worthwhile?
When you find a piece of beauty, you want to share it with someone. You believe it’s worthwhile, your time and, beneficial to your life. However, if you find out that the beauty is not what you thought it was to be, it has no more value to you. You will find no promise of happiness in it. You would have been deceived. For example, if you see a flower that is beautiful, share it with people, and then come to find out that it is an artificial flower when you thought it was a real flower, you will be let down. You will no longer find beauty it in because you have found out all that you could about this piece or all that you want to know about this piece so the promise of happiness is gone. This surprised was not a welcomed surprised. This does not go against the fact that one could find beauty in an artificial flower, be aware it’s an artificial flower and not be disappointed because they have not found out all that there is to know about the flower so for them the beauty of happiness still exists.  In the situations depicted, it depends on the person and their experience when it comes to beauty being worthwhile and a promise of happiness.

The Disappearance of the Promise of Happiness

Question
If “beauty is a promise of happiness” then does the promise of happiness disappear once we know a piece of beauty “inside and out”? Do we have to find another piece beautiful to replace this promise of happiness?

The promise of happiness does disappear once we know a piece of beauty inside and out. However,it can reappear when once we forget about the surprises in the piece and are surprised again. The promise of happiness will never disappear if you do not succeed in finding all of the surprises and aspects of the piece. For example, the Mona Lisa is considered a piece of beauty and the meaning of it is still debated and unknown. It can therefore be determined as a piece of beauty with the promise of happiness.
There can be more than one piece of beauty that holds our interest. If there is, then the promise of happiness from beauty is just decreased when we know just one piece of beauty inside and out. It will soon be increased again once we find another piece of beauty that we do not know everything about. There are many pieces of beauty that exist and unknowns about them so beauty can still be a promise of happiness.
